When people think of hospitals, they often think about doctors and nurses first. But behind the scenes, there is a group of compassionate individuals who work diligently to provide comfort to families and children who have been hospitalized. This amazing team of heroes is often unnoticed to the outside world; they are the Child Life Specialist teams.
These men and women are the superheroes behind what we do in the hospitals. They work tirelessly to make difficult days feel a little less scary for children and their families. They bring comfort, celebrate medical milestones, calm fears before procedures, and create moments of joy in circumstances that can feel overwhelming.
Over the years, through our experience both in the hospital as a patient family and delivering trees, we have had the honor of working alongside some truly amazing Child Life Specialist Teams. They are our point of contact and truly the ones to organize the delivery of our trees to patients. They are always encouraging and making sure every family feels loved.
What they do throughout the year, day to day, deserves to be celebrated! To every Child Life Specialist team, thank you for being the heroes behind closed doors. The Joy you spread, the memories you create, they do not go unseen. Your work is truly a Godsend, and we thank you for all that you do!
